Roofers Missoula got its start in 2010, when Wade Thornton went independent after a decade learning the trade on his father's small crew. He'd seen enough of how the bigger regional outfits worked — upsell the biggest job possible, move on to the next lead before the last job's shingles had even settled — and decided Missoula could use a roofer who'd rather tell a homeowner the truth than pad an invoice. He started with one truck and a short list of former customers who trusted him enough to call.

Sixteen years later, that's still the model. The business has grown almost entirely on referrals — a customer whose repair held up tells a neighbor, and the neighbor calls when their own roof starts leaking. Estimating & Insurance Coordinator Caleb Nguyen walks every inspection personally and works directly with adjusters when a claim's involved, so nobody's left guessing what their policy actually covers.
